The day before the New Year's Eve 2009th The sun was strong, but despite this, there were around -10 ° C cold in the damp air Öland. Some amounts of snow was not on the ridge between Borgholm and Köpingsvik: here, there were mostly förfrysta bodies of water, a thin layer of ice behind the rocks where the sun does not reach, and of course a whole bunch of stones, in the form of stone circles . In the picture you see a stone circle in the form of 3-4 blocks. What is a stone circle? Click here for more facts.

Rätöbrygga are two bridges located in Kuggviken the north country , about 1 mil north of Västervik . During the summer months are the piers full of boats that are anchored. In winter it is the opposite, completely empty. Well, some let their boats lie in and damaged by the cold and ice.

Below we see a bridge that was empty from the boats. The only thing that existed at that rime , ostbila, wooden pier where these plants in the center of the image, and possibly me as the cold took its grip on.
