Focus stacking on a WINGED INSECT of unknown type.

May 31st, 2011

I take a course called Advanced Digital Photo Portfolio at Umeå University . An exciting course, but many great moments! On a VG task, I chose to test the "focus stacking". Briefly, a technique that adds together several images with different focus, to get the entire subject in focus. Suitable for macro photography, which is so fun! The picture below is an insect I have not yet managed to identify (anyone know?) That I focus stack with 5-6 different images, and then made black and white and put on a blue tone.

Geocaching in Västervik. Visit my cache on Hermanstorp!

October 9th, 2009

Recently, I took up an interest that I was doing 5-6 years ago - Geocaching ! It aims to find "treasures" that are located mostly in places where there is something special to show. The tax box includes a logbook, pencil and barter goods. To get to the treasure, you need a GPS navigator (like an iPhone!) as you enter the coordinates found on geocaching.com. This seen, I have found many exciting places I had no idea that they excited, in my own community.

Now I have my own taxes, or cache as it is called the "trade" language! Placed at Hermanstorp at the entrance to Västervik. There are a whole bunch of ancient monuments that are worth to be seen, and of course photography. In the picture you see one of the mounds in the area who are from the Iron Age. So, now log onto geocaching.com , find Hermanstorp , enter the coordinates in the GPS era and visit my taxes! :-)
